"The Arab spring has turned into an Arab winter. The attacks on America's embassy and consulate and the assassination of our ambassador to Libya and his staff are acts of aggression against the United States that should be condemned in the strongest terms."
WASHINGTON - Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of Homeland Security Oversight & Investigations and member of the Foreign Affairs Middle East Subcommittee, called for the immediate closing of U.S. embassies and consulates in Egypt and Libya, withdraw of U.S. government personnel from both countries, suspension of aid to those countries, and expulsion of their diplomats from the United States.
