I went with my fellow Congressional delegation members to the USS Harry S. Truman Navy aircraft carrier. We received briefings on board from military leaders about the progress of counterterrorism efforts against ISIS. Thanks to the USS Harry S. Truman, we can locate and attack ISIS sanctuaries.

U.S. soldiers at the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) North Camp face growing threats from Islamist extremists, including ISIS. They are working together with troops from other countries as part of a peacekeeping mission dedicated to stopping the spread of Islamist extremists in the Sinai Peninsula.

In May, I led a bipartisan congressional delegation to the Sinai Peninsula to meet with the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) North Camp and see how ISIS has impacted the region. We need to increase training counter-terrorist forces to stop the growth of Islamist extremists.
