Campaign Intern – McCaul for Congress
Congressman Michael McCaul’s 2016 re-election campaign is looking for highly motivated interns to help with the campaign. Applicants must attend college and be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Some travel around the district is required. Applicants must have very strong interpersonal skills, a good attitude, ability to work as part of a team, patience, great work ethic, and a strong desire to win.
Campaign interns will do a wide variety of important tasks, including but not limited to: answering phones and emails, sorting mail, doing research, assembling and bundling campaign materials, working with volunteers, taking photos, and attending community events. This is an unpaid internship, but it can be applied toward college credit.
Other required skills include:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Volunteer campaign experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent phone communication skills
• Good research ability
• Must be a self-starter
• General proficiency with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube
